Druids Glen - Louise & Paul

Below is a selection of shots that I hope tells a story of Louise and Paul’s wedding day on November 2nd.

I don’t know if it was meticulous planning paying off or not, but these two were completely unflappable throughout and it really hit me when going through the photos afterwards that they had the biggest, most genuine smiles on their faces the whole day long. Louise and Paul are a great example of a couple enjoying their wedding day to the max. They seemed as stress-free as could be, even though they had their two-year old daughter Jessie to think about on top of everything else. But even Jessie remained supremely calm under the care of her doting grandparents.

The day began in Louise’s family home in Raheny, before the ceremony in the local church, All Saints*, and a quick stop for portraits on the wooden bridge at Dollymount Strand. The reception - featuring a full-on ceili - was held in Druids Glen in Wicklow.

After sending the gallery I received this lovely email from Louise…

“Hi Stephen,

Just a quick little note as we drive home from Wexford, the photos are absolutely fantastic, we are absolutely thrilled! My favourites are Jessie spotting Paul as she walked up the aisle and then hugging him, I sent those ones to his Mum and she texted back that she was in tears crying!

You captured so much and worked tirelessly and we are forever grateful for everything.

Take care,

Louise and Paul”

Thanks so much for having me folks. You - and your families - were a pleasure to deal with every step of the way.

*While waiting outside for Louise to arrive, I was proudly informed by the friendly caretaker that this church was where Bono married a Raheny girl back in 1982. It was also the scene of Red Hurley’s nuptuals - his bride kept him waiting for an hour apparently.
